“Our stays were quite comfortable, and the hosts were very friendly. Quinta da Comenda was charming and we enjoyed the area.
While we enjoyed our stay at the Quinta da Casa do Paco, no one spoke English and at first it appeared that we were not expected. However, the lady that answered the door called the owner (who also didn't speak English). When he arrived, he gave us a message from the Inns of Portugal explaining a cancellation of our night in Evora. He then phoned an English speaking lady from the Inns of Portugal for us to speak to, who made us feel at ease. She recommended a great restaurant for dinner and explained the message that our stay in Evora had been cancelled due to the water shortage. She even telephoned our next Inn (not an Inn of Portugal) to extend our stay for an extra night. It was great to receive this message in advance so we didn't have to drive all that way for nothing. Our host was very friendly, and made us feel right at home. Thank you.”

My husband and I were very disapointed with this hotel. we had to wait to be seen and then when someone did arrive it was a maid who counld not speak any english . The place was all locked up and couldnt use any of the house which it says you can, we were shown to our room with very little information on breakfast or on the place . We went to the pool area and it was very dirty that the pool looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time so counldnt use it, it says it has a family and friendly atmasphere but there is no one around we looked around for a hour and counldnt find a sole. We wanted to find out about dinner but yet again couldnt find anyone .T he beds were that old that they kept us awake alnight. We want to breakfast and again no one around just some breakfast left out. We decided to leave the next day but yet again couldnt find anyone to tell , so we left a note on the room door.
It made part of our holiday very dissapointing, we went on the recommendation from your company and I would be asking for a full refuned of the two nights that we payed for up front. We travelled to many places in portugal and this was the wrost by far and no other hotel asked for all the money up front . ”
