Situated in the wine-producing area of Alvarinho, this noble manor has been in the Pita Palhares Antas Marinho faily since 1500. There is a beautiful drive leading to the grand entrance with two splendid old Magnolias. It is set in a lovely wooded area which is ideal for afternoon strolls. Wine tasting can be organized. This is an imposing building with a beautifully furnished interior and a lovely garden and surroundings. There are several reception rooms on the ground floor with wonderful wooden ceilings, panelling and stucco and trompe l'oeil marble and friezes. Each large bedroom is different and some have their own balconies. This is an exceptionally lovely Casa and the welcome of Maria Luisa, the friendly innkeeper, is charming. This guesthouse is part of the Solares de Portugal group of manor houses.
