A manor house in Mangualde, originally built in the eighteenth century for the Dukes of Mangualde, has been skilfully transformed into a delightful and luxurious fifteen room hotel. It is lLocated in the historic area of Beiras in central Portugal which stretches from the frontier of Spain to the sea. The rooms are pleasantly decorated, all with ensuite bathrooms of course, and have satellite television, direct dial telephone and telephones. Close to tennis courts, swimming pool and golf courses (Montebelo is a favourite). The restaurant serves a regional cuisine.
