"Casas da Lapa is a small design hotel in the centre of Portugal, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. Estrela, one of the most impressive mountain ranges in Portugal and in the centre of the country, is a natural wonder. In these dramatic surroundings with limestone peaks, mossy waterfalls, granite caves and rippling river estuaries, there is a small mountain village located on the northwest side of the park: Lapa dos Dinheiros. The village has beautiful views across the valley, a river beach and a beautiful forest around.
The Casas da Lapa's construction is in perfect harmony with the old granite buildings in the village and the guestrooms are spacious and comfortable and are equipped with TV, DVD, iPod and WiFi internet access. There are just eight rooms, all of them contemporary, with a hydromassage bath. The hotel also has a sauna, Turkish bath, gymnasium and outdoor swimming pool with good views. The cuisine at the inn is a mix of contemporary and regional. Walking tours are organized by the hotel."
