The Pousadas use a room yield system. This means the rooms rates vary by dates and availability. You can use the online reservation system to determine exact rates. If you send an enquiry, we will always quote the best available rate. Horta Pousada in Santa Cruz, on the island of Faial in the Azores, occupies a 16th century fort on Horta Bay and has been classified as a national monument since 1947. It is one of two Pousadas in the Azores. It has exceptional views over the magnificent Pico Island as well as the famous marina with yachts that have come from all over the world. . The town of Horta has historical significance (the explorer Captain Cook visited here in 1775 and noted its fine properties). It is the ideal place to celebrate special times, to explore the island, to watch whales and dolphins, to hike, cycle, go horseriding or simpy to relax. There are twenty six uniquely decorated double rooms and two suites here, most with spectacular views of the marina. There is a delightful outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant serving an interesting regional menu.
