This house is situated on the outskirts of the Douro Valley in Britiande, a village frequently mentioned in historical documents. The house has a 17th century chapel containing azulejos (special blue tiles), an altar and a carved wood ceiling. Many years ago the casa was a place of rest for the inhabitants of Ferreirim Convent (1.5 km away) There is a golf course 6 km away. This is an exceptionally pretty house and the owners are charming. The garden, with swimming pool, is spacious and relaxing. Only breakfast is served but if arranged in advance dinners are possible. There are restaurants within 5 minutes walk or a short drive away. There is no sign on the house, but when you arrive in a small square with a monument in the centre, the house is on the right side. All credit cards accepted. This guesthouse is part of the Solares de Portugal manor houses group.

No charge will be made for cots up to 2 years old.Children 2 and under stay free.
