The Pousadas use a room yield system. This means the rooms rates vary by dates and availability. You can use the online reservation system to determine exact rates. If you send an enquiry, we will always quote the best available rate. Situated on the hillside of Serra da Esperança, very near Belmonte, where Pedro Álvares Cabral was born, the Belmonte Pousada has its origins in the reconstructed ruins of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, where there is also a small chapel from the XIII Century. The Belmonte Pousada preserves all the historical architecture of the former convent, including the amphitheatre in the woodlands. The rooms are elegantly decorated and are all ensuite and, as with all Pousadas, there is a hairdryer, television, minibar and safe in the room. There is a delightful swimming pool at the Pousada, and the restaurant serves delicious regional cuisine. The Pousada is on the side of the mountain range of “Serra da Esperança”, near Manteigas and Covilhã

Family Information
Children 3-12 years old pay 15% of room rate if sharing adults room.Most Pousadas can put one extra bed in a room but they can't usually put two. Free cot for children 0 - 2. Children 3-12 years old pay 15% of room rate.
Notes The Pousada is on the side of the mountain range of “Serra da Esperança”, near Manteigas and Covilhã. Activities include visiting Belmonte castle, Judiarias e Centum Celas. There is fishing nearby, horseriding and country walks. Festivals include Senhor da Oliveira Festival (Manteigas) – 21st August, Our Lady of Graça (Manteigas) – 21st August, Fundão Agricultural, Trade and Industrial Fair (Fundão) 17th to 23rd August, Cheese Festival and Dog Fair (Manteigas) – Carnival
