The Pousadas use a room yield system. This means the rooms rates vary by dates and availability. You can use the online reservation system to determine exact rates. The starting point for the Pousada was the restoration of a sixteenth century convent situated in a valley in Arraiolos, a city that is world-famous for its carpets. There is a pleasant harmony between the traditional and modern concepts of Portuguese architecture at this Pousada - a perfect mix of original and modern comfort. There are shady cloisters, a lovely garden and an outdoor swimming pool. Visiting this area is a wonderful opportunity to explore the traditional art of carpet-making. This Pousada is usually full on weekends, but midweek is a perfect time to enjoy this special place with its incredible azulejos in the church. The deluxe rooms have their own private terrace that looks out over the valley. Dine at the restaurant offering regional specialities. The Pousada has twenty eight standard rooms, two suites and two superior rooms all with complete marble bathrooms, air conditioning and heating, safe, telephone, cable television, mini-bar, safe, hair dryer and robes - and private parking. The location is about 121 km. from Lisbon airport.
