In the Barrada region, this house is part of an estate with vineyards and orchards. In the 19th century it belonged to the first Viscount Seabre who prepared Portugal's Civil Code that was in force from 1867 to 1966. This delightful house is in a quiet village and has a courtyard and a veranda in which to relax. The rooms are all en suite and are spacious and elegantly decorated. There is a very pleasant swimming pool set in the gardens. There is no dining room at the house but restaurants are within 2 to 3 km. A car is necessary to reach this house which is located 15 km. from Luso and Bussaco, 20 km. to the beaches at Mira. There is an English-speaking manager at the house who is charming. This guesthouse is part of the Solares group of Portugal.

“Though I made the reservation but had to cancel, my friends went on this trip. They thought the Quinta was wonderful. like a villa. though they had a hard time finding it. (not sure if they saw the directions I sent to them or not).”

“the signage to Quita de S. Lourenco has changed. The blue tourist signs are gone. Lucky for me I saw the sign "S. Lourenco". Map and directions need to be updated. But enjoyed the 2 nights there. ”
