Inns en Route Inc. (
Visit Website) began offering small special hotels in Spain to clients in 1999. Our much-travelled founders were frustrated at the lack of a comprehensive website that showcased some of the wonderful, small and charming inns in the Spanish countryside and coasts that only Spaniards seemed to know about. Feedback from our clients prompted us to expand to include many other countries in our listings, including Portugal.
Our Service
Our reputation is only as good as the hotels which we represent and the prompt and efficient service we provide. We personally review each property on our site. We write our own reviews and usually take our own photos to ensure that you get an accurate view of each hotel. We also monitor client feedback carefully to ensure that our hotels maintain their quality. We provide a quick and efficient reservations service: we post
telephone numbers and email addresses so that you can take advantage of our knowledgable staff. We are a fully-insured and bonded travel agency and are members of the BBB-Online program as well as several other high-profile certification programs.

How do I use your service?
You can
phone or email us your specific questions, or you can browse our selection of hotels and enquire about those that interest you.
How much does it cost to use your service?
There is no hidden or additional cost to using our service - you pay the same rate, or less, as if you telephoned the hotel direct.
How long does it take once I make an enquiry?
We strive to answer with a few hours. When dealing with our smaller hotels it can take a little longer. If you have made an enquiry and haven't heard from us in 24 hours, please do contact us again as we do use spam filters. In some cases we aren't able to contact you.
Turihab Solares Properties
Solares de Portugal are family homes as opposed to hotels, offering a very different kind of holiday experience with that "personal touch". When reserving a Solares property, a non-refundable deposit of 50 euros will be taken upon confirming your reservation. The balance of full prepayment will be taken thirty days prior to your reservation date. If cancelled between 29 to 15 days of expected arrival, 25% of full payment will be retained. If cancelled 14 to 6 days prior to arrival, 75% of total cost will be retained. If cancelled less than 5 days before expected arrival, full payment will be retained. No show, full payment will be retained. We recommend travel cancellation insurance when booking a property in this Group.
Other Properties
For properties other than Solares, no deposit is typically required (if they do, it is outlined on their page) and payment is direct to the hotel upon check-out. Each hotel sets its own cancellation policy, which is displayed on its page. Cancellations are subject to this policy and will be charged by the hotel direct.
