Country Hotel: CharacterThe Convento Sao Saturnino is located at Europe's most westerly point - an ideal location to find some wonderful beaches, cultural attractions like Sintra and Lisbon and delightful walks and hikes in the forests and hills. Just 32 km. from Lisbon in the heart of a 5800 acre oceanside nature reserve, the treasured 12th century Convento Sao Saturnino is now a charming small hotel with just five beautiful guestrooms and two romanic suites transformed from an old water mill. The world has not yet discovered this historical gem of a small hotel in a wonderful location. The views, the tranquillity and charm will impress you. Each room has a different atmosphere, some with weathered beams, some with canopied beds, attic roofs and antique family furniture and paintings, all en suite of course. No telephone or television to spoil the tranquillity of this special hideaway. Buffet breakfast is served in the old kitchen or in the transformed chapel or you can enjoy eating under the lemon tree ...
